We were looking forward to visiting this pool. However the slide they have there is only for children under 6. Was given an alternative by the lifeguard who pointed at the inflatable. Which is supposed to be open on weekdays 11:30-12:30, however not long after he pointed it out another lifeguard started deflating it and packing it down. It was only 12:00, so was only available for 30 mins before they packed it away. It seems nice and clean, that's why it has 2 stars despite the negatives.
Our favourite swimming pool complex, very well maintained and equipped with long chairs and tables. Ideal to organise kids birthday parties or even picnic. The water is always warm and there are some shady areas even inside the pool, which is great when we are coming with our daughter.
I've been swimming here for a while and it is steadily getting busier and busier (at time of writing review the $2 entry is in effect but even before this it was bad). It's almost guaranteed you have to share a lane with 4-5 people, and the "slow, medium, fast" lane signs don't help much as people just get in whichever lane is less crowded, so there are swimmers on opposite ends of the pace spectrum in the fast or slow lane. The squad training occupies most of the pool every morning for hours, only 4 lanes for everyone else, and even when they are clearly not using one of their lanes, if swimmers get in to use this lane I have seen them be kicked out, I have also been kicked out myself, by the squad trainer and her associates. A lifeguard came and apologised to me when he saw this happen, and from talking to some others, it seems the squad trainer has a bit of a reputation......
Still 3 stars as the facility is great, and the lady on reception especially on Saturday mornings is so friendly and helpful, but I wouldnt recommend this pool to people looking to swim laps unless you go at off peak times.
Fantastic, well maintained grounds were really well worth the wait to reopen while the development was taking place for the addition of the 25m pool. The pools are patrolled by Life Guards on duty at all hours that are trained in First Aid and CPR. A great sporting venue for people with injuries that can't do running or may have joint and ligament problems but want to stay in shape. 10/10!
Good lap pool, nice warm small pool and a kiddies pool (that was cold last time we were there). Good friendly swim lessons. They lose 1 point for failing to serve any real food. Would be so easy to serve fries, or toasted sandwiches etc., but management just serves some muffins/fruit bread, which always run out by 11 on a Saturday. Poor planning.
Came here with my partner today to enjoy some pool day, haven't really been to this pool before so normally I just peek through to see how much people are there and what does the pool look like. However this old Asian lady yelled at us in a rude manner as if me and my partner were either stealing the damn pool or eating the damn chlorine that she had to yell at us like that and ask us multiple times to come and see her while we were just standing at the door talking before we even enter the pool. We are very aware of the entery fee and I don't think anyone would really be this petty about a $6 entry. Poor customer service. Please train these staff better.
the good: shaded areas for kids swiming more than other pools I've seen, lots of tables and benches to sit if you come in early, plenty of space and clean showers, friendly staff. the bad: not much food options but you are allowed to bring in whatever you want.
Langlands is my go-to pool for bashing out laps. It’s a busy facility and has something for everyone there. I particularly adore Amy/Amme at the reception. She’s so helpful, welcoming and thoughtful. 💛 …
